Continental Airlines to expand flights to Costa Rica to meet travel demands, June 05, 2009

As a response to an increase in popular demand for flights to and from Costa Rica, the popular ecotourism destination in Central America, Continental Airlines has added a third offering to its flight schedule.

Beginning in March, Continental will add

another flight between Newark International Airport

(EWR) and San Jose Juan Santamaria International

Airport (SJO) and George Bush Intercontinental

(IAH)in Houston, Texas and Daniel Oduber International

(LIR) in Liberia. The increase has come at

a time when Costa Rica has been heavily promoting

itself within international markets creating a higher

demand for these flights. The new flight from Newark/

New York will be available on Saturdays at 11:55

am arriving to San Jose at 3:15 pm and returns at

4:05pm arriving in Newark/New York at 11:15 pm.

Flights from Houston to Guanacaste, also offered on

Saturdays, depart at 11:29 am and arrive at 1:50 pm

while return flights depart from Guanacaste at 2:40

pm arriving in Houston at 7:13 pm.
